Suhurusara, previously the training arm of LK Domain Registry which was established in 2009, had various initiatives with the able guidance of an expert team of industry veterans, under the leadership of Prof.Gihan Dias, with the far-reaching aim of ensuring equitable access to transformational technology, knowledge, and tools in order to ensure nationwide growth and development of ICT skills.
The training initiatives, which include island-wide Train the Trainer (TOT) programmes, have over the years trained countless educators and students in schools and vocational training centers across the country.
The training sessions focus on hands-on experience in addition to theoretical knowledge, encouraging experimentation and innovation with a view toward nurturing the next generation of ICT trailblazers.
A series of training workshops (IT Yahamaga) was conducted by Sarvodaya-Fusion in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and facilitated by LK Domain Registry to ignite curiosity and passion and prepare the next generation of youth to take the reins of the future of ICT in Sri Lanka.
The program provided school students with hands-on exposure to essential digital technologies, including web development, coding, cybersecurity, and emerging ICT trends. By empowering young learners with practical knowledge and future-ready skills, IT Yahamaga helped bridge the digital divide and inspired participants to explore educational and career opportunities in the rapidly evolving technology sector.
